The Prime Minister of Malaysia had announced a one-off payment of RM 200 students of Private Institutions of Higher Learning (IPTS) under the Care for People Economic Stimulus Package (PRIHATIN) on March 27, 2020, a provision granted to all students at various levels of higher education. The payment will be made by May 2020.
Student eligibility is subject to the criteria as follows:
i. a Malaysian citizen;
ii. currently pursuing studies at private universities (IPTS) in various levels including Matriculation, Foundation, Certificate, A-Level and its equivalent, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Degree, Master's & PhD;
iii. active students at private universities (IPTS) as of 31 March 2020; and
iv. pursuing studies on full time and part time basis.
