Kindly be informed that British Council in Malaysia is piloting its first digital Active Citizens workshop in December 2020 which is ‘Active Citizens Social Enterprise for Higher Education’ workshop. The workshop aims to enable participants to Understand the purpose and vision of Active Citizens; recognise and enhance their existing skills and values such as intercultural dialogue; virtual facilitation skills, deepen their own knowledge and awareness of social enterprises in Malaysia and other countries; increase their confidence in adapting materials for their own curricula and/or community engagement initiatives and also to form a Malaysian network of social entrepreneurship educators.
The workshop will be delivered digitally on these dates:
- ONLINE : 7, 9, 14, 16 December 2020 and 3 March 2021 (2.30 – 5.30 pm each day)
- OFFLINE
: 4 sessions between 7 and 16 December 2020 (2.5
hours each session)
After completion of the workshop, each participant is expected to plan and deliver one Active Citizens activity in their university between January and December 2021. If you are interested, please complete the application form http://bit.ly/MYACSEHE. Application closes on 24 November 2020.
