This module is a discipline core module. The rationale to include this module in the academic program is because it is able to strengthen and enhance the academic program. Students must pass this module

ERP professionals play a role in all kinds of organizations - manufacturers, retailers, transportation companies, third party logistics firms, government agencies and service firms. Firms from around the world in all sectors of the economy recruit graduates with ERP knowledge. An individual could work in a variety of areas including purchasing, logistics, new product development, global sourcing and procurement, quality management, inventory control or traffic analysis, operations and supplier relationship management. Competitive pressures and sophisticated customers who demand innovative and speedy solutions characterize today’s global business environment. Understanding and optimizing business processes is a cornerstone of success, and for this reason, ERP professionals are in strong demand.

This course will expose students with the understanding on how the total quality management being describe as a set of quality practice that continue to improve the quality process and the key principle of total quality.  

Learning Outcomes:

CLO1 - Explain functional and process-oriented approaches to organizational design (C5, A2, P1)

CLO2 - Discuss the concept of quality management and its relation to the business policy and strategy of the organization (C6, P1, A3)

CLO3 - Link the quality management with other key functional arears of the firm (C5, A4, P4)

CLO4 - Build analytical and problem solving skills necessary to develop solutions for a variety of quality management and design problem (C5, A4, P4) 

This module will provide students an overview of the fundamental business processes and ERP systems. Upon completion of this module students should be able to:

ERP assembly controlis a module of the ERP enterprise resource planning (ERP) package that is used for shopfloor handling and manufacturing management

The ERP production planning and controlcomprises of the activities such as support the planning for the types and quantities of products on demand to assist production and resource allocation to complete the production process in a timely manner.

Upon completion of this module students should be able to:

CLO1:Understand the fundamental business processes in Production Planning and 

           Control department

CLO2:  Explain the integrated processes in Production Planning and Control

CLO3:  Apply the Enterprise Planning module in ERP software
